My photography style is a blend of candid, in the moment shots as well as some very purposeful and curated images. I love posed, polished newborn photos in fun props that show off just how tiny your baby was, I love lots of layers, florals, details and colours. Somewhat conversely, I love simple family photos which really show the love and connection between you
My studio is home-based, nestled on a peaceful 30-acre bush block in Brighton. It’s a cosy, clean space — not a large commercial setup, but one filled with heart and an Endless array of props, wraps, outfits, backdrops and more
You may spot my kids playing outside or spot a curious cat trying to sneak in — it’s a lived-in, family-friendly environment designed to make you feel at home.
For newborn/infant shoots please make sure to bring your usual baby bag with nappies/ wipes/dummy etc as well as plenty of supplies for feeding bub.
Breastfeeding is welcome in the studio or I can provide hot water or supplies for fixing a bottle. For the shoot, I have everything in the studio in terms of outfits/wraps/props etc, but if you would like specific props or items included you are welcome to bring them along - some families will have a special stuffed toy, personalised blanket or sentimental item.
For newborn shoots, I recommend booking a spot that is between 5-15 days after your due date. This is the ideal spot for newborn shoots, when your baby will still be oh-so tiny, super sleepy, and happy to be posed and swaddled. Of course, babies don’t always run to schedule and sometimes there will be longer than expected hospital stays - I keep my calendar flexible to accommodate this, if Bub arrives early or late or if mum or bub need a bit longer to recover after birth, just reach out and we can adjust accordingly.
For maternity shoots, I recommend booking for when you’re between about 32-36 weeks.
I love earthy and neutral tones - think beige, taupe, light brown, caramel, khaki, dusty or olive green, off-white or cream as well as soft or dusty pink and anything naturally textured, such as linen, wool, lace details, textured cotton or light washed denim.
if possible, avoid big, busy patterns or logos/brand names and try and avoid too much black or anything super tight or restrictive.
Choose, looser, flowy garments that you're comfortable and can move freely in.
I have a client closet for mums and bubs if needed.
